Creating Art & Sharing Love Since 2009

Johnny Be Good.

Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA, Estados Unidos

Let's take a moment here to appreciate one of the greatest actors of our time, please. It's not my first post about Johnny - he's one of my fav and you know I love Tim Burton's movies, specially 'Edward Scissorhands', right?

From a 3 weeks millionaire trial at the London Court to creating a social media account on Instagram, it's been a somewhat hectic year for the actor. But, leaving his life and personal problems aside, let's talk about his most recent work and film premieres because there are so many! If 2019 was the year of Keanu, 2020 is definitely the year of Johnny...

Despite the Covid-19/pandemic situation, the charismatic actor and rockstar has been around a lot - attending many film festivals and the 'San Sebastian International Film Festival' was one of them.

Johnny went to San Sebastian to present the documentary feature film that he has produced under the title 'Crock of Gold: A few rounds with Shane MacGowan', which deals with Irish punk/poet and frontman of the band The Pogues, who is also a great friend of his.
Combining unseen archive footage from the band and MacGowan’s family with animations by Ralph Steadman, amongst others, the documentary pleased the audience and it took home the Special Jury Prize.

At the Monte Carlo gala 2020 for the Planetary Health hosted by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation...

And again, promoting 'Crock of Gold' documentary (directed by Julien Temple), this time at the Zurich Film Festival alongside Irish journalist and Shane McGowan's wife: Victoria Mary Clarke.

From the beginning of quarantine: What happens when the coolest guy joins Instagram? I don't care if it's just to promote himself or his song.. Johnny's IG is fun and I'm following!

New films coming...

I miss going to the movies so much - I think this is the worst part of the pandemic. 2020 would be a great year of film launches and most of them had to be postponed indefinitely. 'Waiting for the barbarians' is one of them.

In 'Minamata' by Andrew Levitas, Depp plays the famous war photographer W. Eugene Smith in a true story in which Smith fights a powerful corporation responsible for poisoning the Minamata people in Japan - 1917 - known as the "Minamata Disaster". Also in the film, British actor we love: Bill Nighy

A #bts shot by Greg Williams

To watch while we wait... with theaters closed here (in Brazil) and with no date to re-open, I believe it's going to take a while we'll be able to watch those films - leaving us with no other choice but to watch the classics (and I'm not complaining 🖤).

Number one on my list is 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' (2018), love seeing all his weirdness personified in the skin of one of the most dangerous Dark Wizards of all time, Gellert Grindelwald :)
Btw, they just started shooting the third movie of the Fantastic Beasts franchise... yay!

And just in time for Halloween...

'Sleepy Hollow' by Tim Burton, available at Prime Video/ Amazon

Happy Monday to you all.. have a blessed week and don't forget to subscribe for more Johnny!
