Boiserie Beauty

Talking about design and Interiors this week on the blog, I'd like to share with you a wall decor technique it's making a great statement in on of my latest projects currently under construction: the boiserie. Created in France between the 17th and 18th centuries, the technique of covering walls with wooden frames reached its peak during the Rococo period and has never gone out of style.

Synonymous with sophistication and elegance, the varity of ways to apply this exquisite technique for the walls used to be restricted to classical environments, but today the boiserie can be seen in contemporary spaces too - either in social or intimate areas.

In addition to the wall frame made of wood, you can also find plaster boiserie, polyurethane boiserie and also boiserie made of cement.
