How I’m Designing a More Intentional Life in 2026

Adopting a dog, buying an apartment, moving to another country... What are your resolutions for 2026?

This year, I’m doing something a little different. Instead of diving headfirst into long lists and rigid plans, I’m pausing. Taking a step back to reflect on the year behind me, acknowledge what truly shaped me, and intentionally decide where I want my energy to go in the year ahead.

Intentionality, I’ve learned, is far more satisfying than resolutions. It’s about clarity, focus, and aligning actions with values—not pressure, perfection, or performance.

Why I’m Choosing Reflection Over Rigid Goals

The past year was full of lessons, milestones, and moments that deserve recognition. Before planning what’s next, I want to:
  • Celebrate wins, however small
  • Learn from challenges without judgment
  • Release what no longer serves me
  • Define what truly matters in 2026
For me, this process starts with tools that guide reflection without pressure.

Enter the Best Year Journal by Intelligent Change

I’ve been using the Best Year Journal to create a structured yet gentle way of reflecting and setting intentions. Here’s why I love it:
  • Annual Quick Review & Intention-Setting: 75+ thoughtful prompts help you review the past year and plan the year ahead
  • Intuitive Goal-Setting: Designed for intention rather than rigid resolutions
  • Flexible & Adaptable: Complete it in one or two sessions, or take your time—fits effortlessly into any lifestyle
  • Expressive & Personal: Space to write freely, add sketches or colors, and make it uniquely yours
  • Judgment-Free Process: Reflect on wins, challenges, and lessons with clarity and compassion
It’s a tool that allows you to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your priorities, and it fits perfectly into a real, busy life without overcommitment.

How I’m Using It

Each morning, I dedicate a few moments to writing, reflecting, and answering prompts that feel right for me. It’s not about “finishing” the journal—it's about engaging with a purposeful, intentional practice. This approach makes goal-setting feel authentic, meaningful, and, most importantly, sustainable.
