Photocalls are a significant part of the Cannes Film Festival because they serve as a key moment for media exposure and visual storytelling. These scheduled photo opportunities allow filmmakers, actors, and industry figures to present themselves and their films to the global press in a more relaxed, candid setting than the red carpet.
This year's edition of the Film Festival showcased a blend of cinematic excellence and high-fashion moments, with numerous photocalls highlighting both emerging talents and established stars, such as Scarlett Johansson promoting her directorial debut, ‘Eleanor The Great’, and Elle Fanning attending the ‘Sentimental Value’ photocall.
Fashion Highlights: Emma Stone joined Pedro Pascal for the ‘Eddington’ photocall, both donning Louis Vuitton ensembles that blended boho layers with modern elegance.
Photocalls generate a flood of images that are instantly circulated worldwide, helping to build buzz and shape public perception of the films and personalities involved. They also offer a glimpse into the fashion, style, and off-screen chemistry of the stars, making them a central element of Cannes’ glamorous and media-driven atmosphere. Check out the coolest moments (or at least, my favorite) of the 2025 Festival.
