Camden Town Revisited: London’s Eclectic Heart Still Beats

London, UK
Camden Town never loses its edge — even on the coldest December day. During my latest visit to London, I spent a crisp winter afternoon wandering through its lively streets with my mother, sister, and her boyfriend. The air was sharp, the energy electric, and the market stalls as vibrant as ever. We walked slowly along the canal, stopping to explore vintage corners, record shops, and art stands that still make Camden so unique.

After our stroll, we warmed up at Poppie’s Fish & Chips, one of Camden’s most famous spots and an absolute must for first-timers. Between the cozy retro interiors, the friendly bustle, and perfectly golden fish and chips, it was the ideal ending to our chilly London afternoon. Few things capture the city’s soul quite like comfort food shared with family on a winter day.

It’s been almost a decade since my last time in Camden — my previous visit was in 2014, when the neighborhood felt a little wilder and less polished. Back then, it had that raw, underground spirit that made it a magnet for creatives and dreamers. Today, Camden is more structured, more commercial perhaps, but still full of character. For those curious to see how it looked ten years ago, you can revisit my old post “Camden Town”  — a time capsule of London’s most iconic market at its most authentic.

The smile is real, but missing one person (the most important and the only one responsible for this trip and my other times in London)

Always with me: Daniel Wellington watch paired with the sleek DW bracelet—my signature combo for both everyday wear and elevated styling - from New York, to Paris and London. These pieces add a subtle touch of luxury without overpowering the outfit. Timeless, minimal, and effortlessly chic.
