Madly Max: Before Furiosa

In honor of the new George Miller film 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga' that premiered today at the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which by the way had a 7 minute stand ovation (!!!), I'm throwing back a very special Vogue editorial for you: Madly Max.

Madly Max: photographed by Arthur Elgort, was published in the 2000 issue of the US magazine.
Fashion Editor: Grace Coddington. Hair, Julien d’Ys; makeup, Aaron de Mey for Atlantis NY. Coordination, Legend Inc.

Carmen Kass stars as the matriarch of a desert-dwelling, post-apocalyptic family and features a mix of c of torn and tattered clothes mashed up with sleek and refined pieces.

We can see utilitarian trench coats and free-flowing gowns, from runway looks from Ann Demeulemeester, Helmut Lang, and Margiela to Roberto Cavalli and Balenciaga “Le Dix” collection by Nicolas Ghesquière.

As a fan of the original Mad Max trilogy, I'm very excited for this new film and can't wait for it to be released here next week, on May 23! How about you?
