3 Empowering Films to Watch Today

You know I'm all about Girl Power and Empowerment here, so this short film list is just another way to show support and try to inspire you on this International Women's Day. I've chosen these 3 movies not because they are lead by strong female characters, but because they delivery moving (in a funny way) stories of female friendship proving that yes, friendship between women exists - and that's definitely empowering!

The Women (2008)

With Meg Ryan, Annette Bening. Directed by Diane English. A wealthy New Yorker wrestles with the decision to leave her cheating husband, as she and her friends discover that women really can have it all.

The First Wives Club (1996)

Based on the 1992 novel of the same name by Olivia Goldsmith and directed by Hugh Wilson.
Reunited by the death of a college friend, three divorced women seek revenge on the husbands who left them for younger women. With the best ladies of comedy trio: Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton and Bette Midler.

Thelma & Louise (1991)

A Ridley Scott's film. Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis are two friends who embark on a road trip that ends up in unforeseen circumstances.
