How to Elevate your Halloween Decor

Halloween is just around the corner and as we are running out of new movie tips to give to you, except of course for the new 'Hocus Pocus 2' launched by Disney + last month bringing back the delightfully wicked Sanderson Sisters... So my idea this year is sharing a few decor tips to help you create a spooky-chic space at home to celebrate the holiday in great style!

To set the perfect eerie-but-elegant vibe, start by playing with a moody color palette—think deep purples, matte blacks, and antique gold accents. Layer in textured fabrics like velvet or lace for a touch of gothic glamour, and don’t shy away from statement pieces like vintage candelabras, faux ravens, or ornate mirrors with a spooky twist. So, let’s dive into a few stylish and simple ideas to get your home Halloween-ready.

1 - Less is More

Instead of cluttering every surface, focus on a few impactful pieces that set the tone—think a well-placed skeleton hand holding a candle, or a single black pumpkin as a centerpiece.

2 - Dramatic Lighting

Dramatic lighting is your best friend here: swap out bright overhead lights for warm-toned lamps, string lights, or flickering LED candles to instantly add mystery and mood.

3 - Go for the Neutrals

Halloween doesn’t have to be all orange and black. Shades like ivory, taupe, charcoal, and muted metallics can bring a refined, spooky-chic aesthetic that works with any home style.

Bonus: The symbols of Halloween

include a few classic Halloween symbols like bats, black cats, or witch hats to nod to the holiday’s spirit without going over the top. A little goes a long way when you're aiming for elegance with a hint of fright!
