Creating Art & Sharing Love Since 2009

Cat Woman

Hello everybody! Today is Wednesday and on Wednesdays we share our Woman Crushes. Can you believe that since 2009, I never dedicated a post to the movies Diva Michelle Pfeiffer? Besides the obvious beauty the actress is one of my favorites .. of course, she was Catwoman! And you know I can not resist a Superhero film right? Not to mention her performances on the side of Al Pacino, which I have already shown here.

Enfim, fui ao cinema assistir a nova versão de 'Murder on the Orient Express' de Kenneth Branagh que tem a atriz em um dos papéis principais e o figurino me chamou atenção...

Michelle Pfeiffer as Caroline Hubbard

"(...) Based on Agatha Christie’s 1934 novel by the same name, director Kenneth Branagh’s film adaptation takes viewers on a journey as breathtaking as the Orient Express itself, thanks to impeccably researched costumes and sweeping cinematography. An all-star cast, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Johnny Depp, Judi Dench, and Penelope Cruz, brings the bravado the characters need to pull off this murder mystery.
But it’s 1930s glamour that often steals scenes, as passengers move through the train in luxurious silk dressing gowns with perfectly set curls and neatly packed cases, sipping champagne from crystal coupes and nibbling Godiva chocolates." BY: ANGELA SALAZAR for In Style.com

The Oscar-winning costume designer Alexandra Byrne was the responsable for the Thirties garments for the film's female leads - from the missionary’s prim travelling clothes to the princess’s lavish jewellery.

Deixa eu aproveitar o momento então para mostrar outros figurinos que fazem valer à pena assistir ao filme.. como o 'Batman Returns' (1992) de Tim Burton

Michelle é a secretária dedicada, Selina Kyle

"I don't know about you Ms. Kitty. But I feel so much yummier."

Love the red lips!

Classic!

Again, a classic.. but from another time and movie.
'Tequila Sunrise' (1988) by Robert Towne with Mel Gibson

'Chéri' (2009) by Stephen Frears
Tem um post inteiro dedicado ao figurino e cenografia desse filme aqui!

And talking about the Golden Globes, Michelle was there too.. wearing a Dior Haute Couture belted black blazer and tulle, feather maxi skirt with glittering fringe.

She was nominated for Best Supporting Performance by an Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television film for her role as Ruth Madoff in 'The Wizard of Lies'

She dressed in black too, as part of the #TimesUp movement, standing in solidarity against sexual harassment in Hollywood and promoting equality for women in the workplace.

More Red Carpets..
