Gonna Fly Now

"Trying hard now
It's so hard now

  Trying hard now
Getting strong now

  Won't be long now
Getting strong now

Gonna fly now
Flying high now

  Gonna fly, fly, fly..."

When the music starts playing makes you want to stretch the body and run the cold streets of Philadelphia to climb the steps of the Art Museum of the city.

"Gonna Fly Now", was composed by Bill Conti with lyrics by Carol Connors and Ayn Robbins, and performed by DeEtta Little and Nelson Pigford.

And it was composed especially for the film (Rocky, 1976) at the request of the director himself, John G. Avildsen, who wanted to give more life and depth to the main scene of the film - the fight between Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers).

Quando a música começa a tocar dá vontade de alongar o corpo e sair correndo pelas ruas frias da Filadélfia até subir os degraus do Museu de Arte da cidade.
